The bible teaches from the words of Jesus, that a person cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless he is born of The Spirit.
Nicodemus, a well respected person of the day came to Jesus asking the question "How can a man be born when he is old? Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
We can receive the promise of the kingdom of God, by accepting Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirt. It is a simple acceptance that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
In addition to this there is no-one that can make the decision for you to follow Christ, except yourself. It is a freewill decision to humbly come before God and believe he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
If you think you would like to accept Christ simply understand first these steps and pray a prayer as follows:
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
"God be merciful to me a sinner." (Luke 18:13)
"Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9)"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord...for He will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:7)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16)
"He came unto His own, and His own received him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on His name." (John 1:11, 12)
I thank you Father God, through the Lord Jesus Christ that I have acknowledged I am a sinner, but now I choose to turn away from everything I know is wrong in my heart. I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness and thank you for the precious blood of Jesus that was shed for me becoming the only sacrifice for my forgiveness. I believe in my heart that you sent Jesus Christ in the flesh and raised Him from the dead. My all the glory praise and honour be to you. Amen
